Civic Day 2017 is here. Hundreds of community events will be taking place this weekend and it is looking to be one of the most celebrated Civic Days we have had. With a specific focus this year celebrating conservation areas, civic societies across the country are planning to hold hundreds of events to celebrate what is great about where they live. Plans this year range from litter picks to walks and tours to debates and much more more. Find our what is happening here.

This year's Civic Day was launched in partnership with Birmingham Civic Society at the unveiling of their centenary "Civic Pride" ale in Birmingham on Thursday 15th June.

We are pleased that the new Minister for Civil Society, John Glen MP is supporting Civic Day by speaking at the Salisbury Civic Society Civic Day. see here.

Whether you are attending an event or not, Civic Day is for everyone to get involved. Everyone who prints the image attached: here … and sends a picture into Civic Voice (info@civicvoice.org.uk) will be in with a chance of winning a copy of The History of the Civic Movement!
